Žižkov sees a new centre for art and culture being built up as Tanec Praha z.ú. partners the project Krenovka with SUDOP Real, a.s., a company that has received a financial support of 249.999 EUR from The EEA Grants 2014-2021.

The project, with the official title “The Farm KRENOVKA in the Prague City Part Žižkov - New Centre for Contemporary Art and Community“ will change the cultural monument in an innovative way, turning into a centre providing new premises for contemporary art (especially dance) and community activities. The centre's activities for the public will start in September 2022.

The objectives will be achieved through several synergistic activities:

  • building completion and furnishings of the reception and the co-working room ArtHub
  • Studio Krenovka and Dance Prague facilities including a Meeting Room: installation of dance floor, furnishings, technology. This project line supports mainly the activities and public programme of the project partner (Tanec Praha z.ú.)
  • Operation of the Krenovka cultural centre: a space for artists and community: already in the September 2022 the Centre will be open for the public and a inclusive and diverse programme will be offered
  • Krenovka activates the Gordian Knot: public events reviving the brownfield: 9 site-specific events for the centre and its surroundings

An important aspect of the project is also a cooperation with a Norwegian partner, Dansens Hus Oslo, who will share their know-how on the operation of one of the best dance houses in Europe and its programme experience.
