The Theatre is Not at Rest with Beata Hlavenková

Brought to you by PONEC theatre's technical team.

This online show brings you an audio-visual experience combined with a non-traditional tour of the PONEC Theatre focused on dance, contemporary dance and physical theatre. Please note that dance, contemporary dance and physical theatre do not appear in this show.

The audio experience is provided by musicians who composed their musical works for dance productions and whose sound waves were carried by the PONEC Theatre. Like you in your homes, they have been left alone in their sound, which none of the dancers are currently listening to.

Now sit back with your mobile device, put aside your prejudices and facemasks, hug your loved ones and tested persons, immerse yourself in the bowels of the PONEC Theatre with us and let yourself be carried away by the music and unique atmosphere we have prepared for you tonight.

On behalf of the whole implementation team of The Theatre is Not at Rest project – thank you.

"The final guest of The Theatre is Not at Rest program is the composer, singer, pianist and arranger Beata Hlavenková, a prominent musician with an unmistakable and unique style that goes beyond the borders of genre. She studied composition at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava and earned Master of Music at the University of Massachusetts in the field of composition, jazz composition and arranging.

She wrote music for the films Dukla 61 and Zátopek and has collaborated with a number of Czech and foreign musicians, most notably with Lenka Dusilová. At the PONEC Theatre, you could see and hear her in the production of FLOW by VerTeDance and Jiří Havelka.

In an empty and abandoned theatre bar, where we will probably meet soon, she will play songs from the album Dream (2019) for which she won the Anděl Award for Artist of the Year. We were inspired by our own isolation and Idiot Prayer, a live album by Nick Cave. To support our futility and loneliness, and to highlight the fragility and DREAMing of Beata in the PONEC Theatre bar, we used: 2 x Fresnel ARRI ST2 2000W, 1 x ARTLIGHTING FHR PC 2000W, 1 x PAR 64 CP 61 1000W, 1 x ELATION SIXPAR 200, 2 x ELATION KL Panel, 4 dimming circuits, 1 x Haze MDG ATMe, 1 x Haze Unique 2.1, various broad-leaved flowering plants from Troja Chateau selected by Kateřina Oseckká of the Prague City Gallery, and the guys Dano, Filip, Martin and Tomáš."
