Jan Bárta focuses on his own creative and interpretive work, which includes production, acting-dance and directing. He studied at the Duncan Dance Conservatory in Prague, then moved to the Prague State Conservatory in the music and drama department. In 2009, he completed a four-year program at the Mime Department of the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Amsterdam, and in 2017 he graduated from a five-year drama / art-therapeutic training program focusing on the DvT (developmental transformation) method.
He is the co-founder of Crewcollective z.s. (www.crewcollective.cz), which organizes cultural and educational events to systematically connect artists from other disciplines and to mediate the production of individual artists in Bohemia and abroad. It deals with work with children focusing on movement and drama education, also in the context of drama-therapy.
