The presented student works give a surprisingly powerful experience of dance as well as a telling picture of the method of teaching creation at the conservatory. We will also present the original work of the graduate of the conservatory Jitka Čechová, a rising star on the Czech dance scene, Frankie Teardrop, interpreted by the author. She graduated with this choreography in 2017. Tereza Krejčová graduated a year later and after four years of studying dance in Salzburg she is coming back with her introspective solo Nekrytá. The music for this choreography was composed by the Duncan Centre teacher, guitarist and composer Václav Chalupský.

Simone Sandroni, the founding member of the world-famous company Ultima Vez, has created a choreography with Duncan Centre students that will be presented in its world premiere, which gives a unique opportunity to see a new piece by this experienced, highly valued European choreographer on the Prague stage.

Simone Sandroni collaborated with Duncan Centre students already in the late 1990s and left a significant footprint not only in the school, but also on the Czech dance scene when together with Lenka Flory he founded the Déjà Donné company in Prague, with which he was internationally successful and which still exists. The company’s productions have been presented in more than 30 countries in Europe, North and South America and Asia. Since 2015 until recently, Simone Sandroni led the Stadttheater Bielefeld Dance Company.
