Do you know that children can also have dance and movement education in school in addition to art and music classes?
Dance and movement education is a complementary educational field for elementary schools in the field of art and culture. With the aim of enriching teaching with new creative activities, we bring creative movement education to schools as part of the Dance for Schools project. Like Tanec Praha, we have been implementing it since 2006 with the idea that dance and movement have a uniquely important place in the education of children of all ages.
The movement lessons are taught by professional dancers with a great deal of teaching experience. Lessons take place with live musical accompaniment and give children a unique opportunity to meet in person and work continuously under professional artistic guidance.
Interested in the project and want to find out how the lessons are held or convey the experience to children? Come dance or just watch the open lesson, which will take place on September 15 from 5 p.m. at the Krenovka Studio (Husitská 22, Prague 3). Please reserve your place in advance.
Instructors Jana Látalová and Jazmína Piktorová will lead the lesson with the musical accompaniment of violinist Gabriela Vermelho. After the lesson, there will be space for your questions in a short, moderated discussion.
