Our dance lessons for children are a place where movement becomes play, and creativity knows no limits. These lessons provide a safe and inspiring space for children to explore their bodies and its possibilities. Through dance and play, children enhance their motor skills, learn to collaborate with others, and express their emotions through movement.
Why get involved?
Because dance is more than just movement – it's a journey to self-discovery, joy, and the development of self-confidence. Our lessons are guided by experienced teachers who nurture the individual growth of each child, with the added energy and joy of live music accompanying every step.
Children can choose from two lesson options, each differing not only in time and location but also in the teaching approach. To provide a tailored experience for each age group, the lessons are divided into specific age categories.
Have your children grown out of the Dance Through Play for Children classes for children? They can follow up smoothly with the Contemporary Dance for Teens course for teens aged 12-18.
We offer Dance Through Play for Children as a series of open courses for the entire 2024/2025 season. The course fee can be divided into three instalments. Detailed information will be provided upon completion of the registration form.
Mondays | Studio Krenovka
Monday lessons, led by dancer and choreographer Yana Reutova, are designed to progressively develop children's movement skills and imagination. Starting with simple games and advancing to more complex dance variations, children learn to layer movements, relax their bodies, and improvise through play, live music and sound. The lessons also emphasize connecting movement with creative activities, fostering children's imagination and creativity.
For the youngest children (3–6 years old), we focus on motor skills and sensory development through play and rhythm.
Older children (7–11 years old) learn more technical skills, including improvisation, movement expression, and interaction with musical instruments.
The lessons are conducted in Czech at Studio Krenovka (Husitská 22, Prague 3, next to the Ponec Theatre) and run from 9 September 2024 until the end of June 2025.

Wednesdays | Ponec Theatre
The Wednesday lessons are unique not only because of the live music of Anna Romanovská, Petr Tichý or Anna Pivoňková that accompanies them but also due to the respectful approach of the instructors Lenka Kniha Bartůňková, Alena Dittrichová and Magdalena Chrpová. These dance-movement lessons are designed for children aged 4 to 12 years. They focus on fostering creativity, a sensitive perception of music and rhythm, spatial awareness, and a sense of cooperation. Each child has the opportunity to develop their abilities in a safe and supportive environment, where their individuality and unique dance expression are valued.
Would you like to give your children the experience of movement in an authentic theatre setting? Wednesday lessons take place directly on the stage of the Ponec Theatre.
The lessons are conducted in Czech and run from 2 October 2024 until May 2025.
