Dance as Play - a movement workshop for children
Take your children to a workshop in the beautiful area of the Žižkov Highline above Krenovka, which will be led by Anastasiia Pavlovska and Olena Korotkova with live music from Milli Janatková! Children will be given the space for self-expression, learning to understand themselves better through various movement activities and games. They will also focus on observing their surroundings, which will inspire them to move. The Žižkov Highline is also accessible from Čítárna Unijazz, where refreshments can be found. In case of rain, we will make use of the Studio Krenovka. The second, and last workshop Dance as Play this season will be offered by the same team on Monday the 23rd of June, at 17:00, in the same location.
21. 6. 2025 18:00 Karlín square - start in front of the church
What a Woman Hold
The Artist Trip inspired by the duet Womanhood, created by the Prague-based Yana Reutova and the Brazilian Clara da Costa, is inspired by the differences in their cultural and physical perspectives, examining womanhood through the means of bodily poetry. The unusual format uses the genius loci of the Karlín square, with the spatially dominant church, in front of which the pilgrimage with the artists begins. The journey through the city reflects an emotional procession - it is not only dance, but an experience of unity.
21. 6. 2025 19:00 Ponec
Moving Borders - Creative Europe project outcomes
Following the specific format of Yana Reutova's Artist Trip with Clara da Costa, Saturday evening is dedicated to a reflection on the two-year European project Moving Borders, which focused on researching the artistic diaspora of Ukrainian dancers who fled the war to EU countries. In the convivial atmosphere of the Ponec theatre bar you will see short videos and online publications, as well as being able to join the discussion with selected participants of the project, which received support from Creative Europe.
21. 6. 2025 Ponec - Krenovka - Highline 20:00
Guided tour of Ponec Theatre and Krenovka Creative Centre
What would you like to know about the history of the former bia Ponec or Stabenow's machine shop or the neighbouring farmhouse, later a coaching inn of the builder Antonín Krenn? What was the history of the Žižkov district outside the city walls and where was Šibeniční vrch? The transformation of lower Žižkov from the perspective of reconversion into an art district will be presented by Yvona Kreuzmannová between two Artist Trips formats.

Adriana Štefaňáková & Sten Heijster: Luminous Daisies (CZ/FI)
The daisy, Leucanthemum vulgare, is a poetic walk through the city, where walls of otherwise unremarkable buildings come alive thanks to the animations of the Finnish multi-disciplinary artist Sten Heijster, and the movement-based interpretation of Adriana Štefaňáková. On one hand there is the dance, brought by Adriana following her studies abroad, on the other there is Sten’s ingenious invention which, from a bespoke “three-wheeler” equipped with a mobile projector, guides the audience through the route. The daisy may lose its leaves one after another, but poetry and hope remains in the hearts of our audiences.
