OPEN CALL – Workshop Giving & Receiving Feedback with Bush Hartshorn

We are announcing an Open Call for an intensive three-day workshop with Bush Hartshorn at the Krenovka Studio on 10-12 November 2023, for dancers, choreographers and other interested parties who provide feedback to artists.

The workshop is focused on providing and receiving feedback. It will deal with the method of nonviolent communication (NVC) and the principles of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), which can be applied in a wide range of personal and professional situations. The workshop will also include an introduction to Liz Lerman's feedback methodology (Critical Response Process), which the participants will then try out in practice, and other methods of the feedback technique.

Participants will increase their awareness of the importance of feedback for the development of artists and study examples of when and how it is appropriate to use feedback. They will understand the concept of feedback, gain confidence in this method and know that feedback is a meaningful and operative tool that they can use effectively.

The chosen method is intended for people who are looking for some kind of "intervention" for their creative process but can also be used for an already "finished" work. Participants will bring work to the demonstration that they want to comment and receive feedback on. It can be a short dance work, curated programs, written materials or just ideas.
