Mirka Eliášová is a graduate of the choreography program at the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU), where she currently works as a teacher. She has created more than 20 choreographies, collaborated on opera performances and participated in the production of dance films.
She is interested in improvisation in contemporary dance, live interaction with musical and sound components, and the relationship between dance and space (site-specific projects). Her works are presented at festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad and have won several awards.
She also devotes herself to creative activities for children as a teacher at the Elementary Arts School and as a movement workshop instructor. She created the children's interactive performances World of Paper and Momo, which are regularly presented in the PONEC Theatre.
