The project was co-produced with PONEC Theatre and supported by the Ministry of Culture Czech Republic, the City of Prague, the State Culture Fund of the Czech Republic, Micro and Macro Dramaturgies in Dance, Creative Europe (European Commission's programme) and Vintage Room 31. The project was implemented with the financial participation of the EU through the National Recovery Plan and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
How would we identify a crisis if it had a human form? How would it look, think, communicate?
Together with seven performers, we expose its physicality, we dive deep into the wounds testifying to our fulfilled lives. We indulge in the experience. We meet face to face with the crisis in a closed room, we wait, we play, we don't have to be anywhere in an hour. We hug each other. We sleep together, we smoke in the morning. We remain, we are, we surrender to the scarred body in the hope that "something" will happen. We practice faith in that "something" as well as faith that even "nothing" can be the outcome.
A generational testimony about a state of being where the crisis as a status quo does not seek solutions or to be overcome.
Inspired by the post-activism of the thinker Bayo Akomolafe, the ex-Buddhist nun Kaira Jewel Lingo and the paintings of the artist duo Muntean and Rosenblum.
