DANCEHOOD / YANA REUTOVA (UA/CZ)

Yana Reutová is a dancer and choreographer originally from Chornomorsk, Ukraine, now based in Prague. After graduating from the Kyiv National Institute of Culture, she founded a successful children’s dance studio in Ukraine, whose students later went on to study at prestigious dance schools across Europe.

For more than four years, she has combined her artistic practice in the Czech Republic with inclusive and community-based projects focusing on children and vulnerable groups. Her interactive performances for children, On the Way and Childhood Time, have been presented dozens of times across the Czech Republic.

Her choreographic works include the triptych Together Alone (Lost, Invisible Traces, Paradoxical Bodies), the duet Womanhood, and the solo performance Paradise Birds, created in collaboration with Bulgarian dramaturg Yanitsa Atanasova and premiered at PONEC Theatre in Prague.

Between 2022 and 2026, her work was repeatedly presented as part of TANEC PRAHA Festival and the Czech Dance Platform. Her work has also been presented in Italy, Spain, Brazil, Bulgaria, Lithuania, the United Kingdom and Cape Verde through international festivals, residencies, platforms and programmes, including Aerowaves, EFFEA, BPDA – Big Pulse Dance Alliance, Kilowatt Festival, Dança em Trânsito and Dance Umbrella London.

In 2026, she created the new inclusive project The Secret of Moonlight, which premiered as part of TANEC PRAHA Festival.
