Jana Látalová

 

Jana Látalová studied at the Prague Dance Conservatory. She graduated from the Duncan Centre Conservatory, where she majored in Contemporary Dance, and obtained a bachelor's degree in dance pedagogy from the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU).   

As a dancer, she has collaborated with Pierre Nadaud, Petra Hauerová, Petr Tyc, Jan Komárek, Miloš Forman, Petr Forman, Veronika Švábová, Jan Beneš and the Nanohach dance company.                                

Together with Marta Trpišovská, she created several original projects that were presented at dance festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad. She is currently involved in the performances Carnival of the Animals (Ostružina association, concept Barbora Látalová), Celestial Odyssey (Andrea Miltnerová, Monika Knoblochová, Jan Komárek), Kitchen Revue and Paper World (Mirka Eliášová).                                                                                            

She works with children and teenagers with a focus on contemporary dance, dance and movement education, improvisation and creation.

She works as an instructor in the children's studio of the PONEC Theatre, teaches dance at the Elementary Art School in Vrané nad Vltavou and leads dance and movement workshops at the Centre for Social Services in Hvozdy. In cooperation with Tanec Praha and SE.S.TA, she implements artistic and educational projects in Czech schools, Dance for Schools (TP) and School of Dance (SE.S.TA).
