Dancer, performer, choreographer, dance teacher, dance columnist and scientist Hana Polanská graduated from the dance conservatory and the art history program at the Catholic Theological Faculty of Charles University and majored in choreography at the Music Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. As part of her postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, she is devoted to the topic of the benefits of dance-movement therapy for the cognitive
and physical abilities of seniors.
During her rich professional career, she worked, for example, as a soloist at the National Theatre in Prague and collaborated on dozens of projects with renowned choreographers and artists. Currently, she is mainly engaged in scientific and teaching activities. She collaborates with a number of institutions on research projects thematically focused on the influence of dance on neurodegenerative diseases.
During the Covid pandemic, she worked in the field as an elderly caregiver.
