Dočasná Company / Natálie Vacková, Jana Stárková

 

Natálie Vacková is dedicated to dance interpretation, conducting workshops, creating her own choreographic projects and movement collaboration. She holds a bachelor's degree in choreography from the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU) and the department of contemporary dance and creation at the Duncan Centre Conservatory. As part of her studies, she completed the SNDO Intensive Course at the Amsterdam University of the Arts and many other movement workshops in the Czech Republic and abroad. Until now, she has created her work under the Dočasnou Company and is also a performer in several projects, e.g. Effugio volume 2, AMORální, Temporaliter. For example, she collaborated with Helle Bach (DK), Anna Källblad (SE), Michal Caban, Markéta Jandová, Helena Ratajová and Monika Částková. She is also engaged in production activities for Dočasnou Company and the POCKETART collective and is a member of the production team of PONEC – the dance venue / Tanec Praha.

Jana Stárková is a dramaturg, director, performer and artistic director of the Špatné divadlo group. In the last three years, she worked as a dramaturg for Cirk La Putyka. She is currently a freelancer, teaches at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU), collaborates with the Vzlet cultural centre and is the location manager for PQ performance 2023.
She studied dramaturgy at the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre at DAMU, under the guidance of Jiří Havelka, where she created her final project in the form of a performative dance walk called Suburbia. In addition to working on circus, physical and dance productions, she is engaged in interventions in public space and experimental performances (Euchrid, The Dog Project, Marie Antionette Walks Down an Elegant Hallway Knowing Everyone Hates Her...). She directs video clips for music groups (An Animal Named Autumn, Ondřej Galuška and band...) and creates short dance films (e.g. Oměj), which are shown at international festivals. She is a proud member of the Veselé chvíle (Happy Moments) choir at DAMU, with which she performs in several theatre performances (Happy Moments in the Life of the Czech People, Beracha...).

Oliver Torr is a composer, producer, audiovisual artist and label owner from Prague, currently living in Athens. After studying with Phelan Kahn at the British & Irish Modern Music Institute in London, he became involved in sound, art and music activities. He tries to mix different genres from all over the world, and uses various recording machines, field recorders and synthesizers. With his artistic collectives and the XYZ project label, which he co-founded in 2014, he organizes concerts, meditative sound sessions, parties and exhibitions.
