For many, the desire to have children seems obvious and easily achievable, but what if it’s restricted by legal regulations and other constraints of modern life? A priority performance of Europe’s prestigious Aerowaves network in 2019.
A breathtaking dance performance which uses personal testimony to explore conditions in today’s Poland for those whose pathway to motherhood is more complicated. It explores the assisted reproduction system, the independent woman artist for whom the relationship between personal and professional life is already complicated, and the never-ending oscillation between the private and public spheres.
Recenze
“From beginning to end, one follows the events onstage with complete focus, unable to stop oneself from observing the constant emotional and corporeal transformation ...”
Paulina Trzeciak for Taniec Polska
“The polyphony of voices is a very strong aspect of the performance and places itself within the public debate of recognizing women’s rights as human rights.”
Hanna Raszewska-Kursa
