We are opening new opportunities for co-production collaborations leading to a premiere in 2027.

Ponec – dance theatre is a venue dedicated to contemporary dance, physical theatre and inspiring crossovers with other genres. Its dramaturgy addresses both adult audiences (from experienced followers of contemporary dance to the general public), as well as families with children and schools. Since April 2024, the theatre has been supported by an Artistic Board open to artists of all generations, from emerging to established. Each year, the Board selects 3–5 projects for the main programme of Ponec.

We offer:

• 4 weeks of rehearsal at Studio Krenovka (Husitská 22, Prague 3) from summer 2026 and throughout 2027
• 1 week of rehearsal at Ponec Theatre, including technical facilities and team (technical specifications available here)
• the possibility to present a work in progress, feedback sessions, and consultations on the creative process
• a premiere in 2027 or in the 2027/2028 season
• a contribution towards fees for the premiere and subsequent performances, plus a share of box office revenue
• at least 3 performances guaranteed
• support for the promotion of the premiere within the theatre’s capacities

We are not able to provide:

• fees during the rehearsal period or fees for the creative team
• full production management during the creation process (however, in-house production support during performances is guaranteed)
• travel and accommodation
• co-production financial contribution towards production costs (e.g. costumes, set design)
• copyright fees

Eligibility:

• artists working in contemporary dance and physical theatre creating for adult and/or young audiences
• individuals or companies planning a project to be developed during the 2026/2027 season, with a premiere in 2027 or the 2027/2028 season
• professional creators of all generations – from emerging graduates to established artists (emerging, mid-career, established)

Timeline:

• application deadline: 17 May 2026
• project selection by the Artistic Board: by 5 June 2026
