The management and Artistic Council of the Ponec Theatre have decided to hold a second Open Call for new projects for 2026. In addition to the three co-productions already selected for 2026, one or two new projects will be selected. We also want to provide an opportunity for those who did not manage to respond to the first call and expand the possibilities for further artistic collaboration across generations and approaches.

Ponec – dance venue is a platform for contemporary dance, movement theater, and other inspiring crossovers to other genres. Its dramaturgy targets both adult audiences (experienced enthusiasts of contemporary dance as well as the broadest possible audience) as well as families with children and schools. Since April 2024, the theater has had a new Artistic Council, which is open to artists of all generations, from beginners to established professionals.

We offer:

• 4 weeks of rehearsals at Studio Krenovka (Husitská 22, Prague 3) from autumn 2025 and throughout 2026
• 1 week of rehearsals at the Ponec Theatre, including technical preparation (technical specifications of the theatre here)
• the opportunity to present work in progress, feedback sessions, consultations on the creative process
• premiere in 2026 or in the 2026/2027 season
• contribution to fees for the premiere and repeat performances + share of ticket sales
• promotion of the premiere within the theatre's capabilities

Note: Travel expenses, accommodation, fees for rehearsals and performances, copyrights, music, decorations, costumes, and other costs associated with the premiere and performances are covered by the artist/ensemble from their own resources.

The opportunity for collaboration is intended for:

• artists working in the field of contemporary dance and movement arts creating for adult or children's audiences
• individuals/ensembles planning a project/performance on which they will work from the 2025/2026 season and premiere in 2026 or the 2026/2027 season
• adult professional creators - from the upcoming generation of art school graduates to experienced, established figures on our dance scene (emerging, mid-career, matured artists)
