Marta Trpišovská

 

Marta graduated from the Duncan Centre Conservatory in Prague in contemporary dance and dance theatre. She also completed a study residency at Brighton University in the UK in dance with visual art and graduated from the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (2009). Since 2000 she has focused intensively on her own choreographic work: Indiscreet Consolation and MaDame Blanche (2002), SKI°°FI (2003), Double Exposure (2004)– nominated for a SAZKA Award, Out on a Limb (2005) – nominated for a SAZKA Award, 2007 TitanExcursion with Helga), which she has presented in the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, England, China and Macedonia. In 2001 she came in 2nd and 3rd place in the International Choreography Competition Jarmila Jeřábková Award. She has also been nominated for a SAZKA Award for performance in 2007 (Portrait). She is a co-founding member of the NANOHACH association (2004) and has collaborated with the Forman Brothers Theatre (2007, Freak Show and A Walk Worthwhile for the National Theatre).
